Show Design
You can tell us the music and theme, or we can discuss ideas with you before we begin to write.
Choose the level that best fits your ensemble, and we will design and write a show specifically for you!
Novice Level
•Possibly first time with a Winter Guard or Drumline
•Very young group, mostly with 0-1 years of experience.
•Will mainly perform locally at basketball games or on a Spring Trip.
•Could possibly compete, but at the local level only.
•Short routine (2-4 minutes), basic difficulty and staging.
•(Comparable to WGI Novice/cadet/B class.)
Intermediate Level
•Possibly first season with a Winter Guard or Drumline, or little experience in Winter season.
•Stronger performing background (marching band) than Novice group.
•Possibly first competition experience, or looking to be more competitive at the local level.
•Intend to perform locally and/or compete at the local level, and possibly compete at the regional level.
•More challenging music/choreography/staging than Novice Level, show length 4-5 minutes.
•(Comparable to WGI AAA/AA/Local A Class.)
Experienced Level
•Experienced Winter Guard or Drumline, or participants are from a highly experienced marching band program.
•Intend to compete locally and regionally, and possibly at the national level.
•Highly developed and challenging music/choreography/staging, show length 4-5 minutes.
•(Comparable to WGI Regional A Class.)
Advanced Level
•Highly experienced and competitive Winter Guard or Drumline.
•Winter competition experience.
•Intend to compete locally, regionally, and nationally.
•Exceedingly evolved show design and concept, highly challenging.
•(Comparable to WGI Open Class.)
