Superior Band Camp Staff
All of our show design staff members have extensive design experience, and all of our instructional staff must be experienced in two areas – performing and instructing.
Performing: every staff member has performed at an extremely high level, including WGI Winter Guard or Percussion, DCI Drum & Bugle Corps, and/or a top collegiate program. Here are some of the groups represented by our staff: Cavaliers, Cadets, Blue Devils, Santa Clara Vanguard, Crossmen, Madison Scouts, Music City Mystique, Carolina Thunder, The Study, and Infiniti. Instructing: in addition to performing experience, every member of our staff has extensive instructional experience. All have instructed top high school programs, college programs, Winter Guards or Drumlines, or DCI Drum Corps.

Erin Brown

Erin has been employed as an educator since graduating with her Bachelor's & Master's in Special Education from the University of Florida in December of 2000. She currently serves as Color Guard Director of former Scholastic “A” World Champion Freedom High School in Orlando , FL , and is also on staff with The Knights. In addition, she has worked with many successful winter guard programs in Florida . Erin has an extensive performing resume, including the Independent World Class “Company” Winter Guard and the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps.
Jeannie Carter-Siddle

Jeannie has performed in the Independent World Class Infiniti Winter Guard and was a dancer with the Independent World Class Carolina Thunder Indoor Percussion Ensemble. She has choreographed for and taught some powerhouse Color Guard programs in North Carolina , including one that has gone to BOA regionals 2 of the last 3 years. She has also implemented new high school and middle school Winter Guard programs.
Tim Gauldin
Instructor: Color Guard, Winds

Tim marched in the Color Guard of the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps, and has been an educator ever since, earning his Bachelor's and Master's in Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University . He taught middle and high school band for eleven years, and has been self-employed as a marching band and Color Guard clinician since 2001. He has worked with many different high schools and winter guards, including Scholastic finalist Bassett High School and Independent World Class Finalist The Study. He was on the visual staff for Magic of Orlando Drum and Bugle Corps from 1991-1992, and has been a Visual Consultant and Program Coordinator/Advisor for the Mystikal Drum and Bugle Corps from Newbury Park , CA , since 2003.
Brian Greenleaf

Brian has been active in Marching Band, Winter Guard, and Drum and Bugle Corps as a designer, technician, clinician and consultant since 1989. In addition to public school teaching, Mr. Greenleaf has instructed the Suncoast Sound Drum and Bugle Corps, the Black Gold Drum and Bugle Corps, the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps, the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, and has served as the caption head for the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. Brian also founded the eight time WGI finalist Black Gold Winter Guard.
Currently, Brian serves on the Executive Board of the North Texas Color Guard Association, as well as the Winter Guard International Advisory Board and Winter Guard International steering committee to the executive board for the past two years.
Paul Orsett

Paul marched with the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps and Winter Guard. He has been a band director for over 10 years in NC and founded the Assembly Line Winter Guard in 1985. He currently serves as President of the Atlantic Indoor Association. Paul has over 30 years of teaching experience, including Drum & Bugle Corps, marching band, and Winter Guard. Currently a full-time theatre arts teacher at Wakefield High School in Raleigh , NC , Paul is also an announcer for Winter Guard International Regional Competitions and World Championships.
Percussion Staff
Rob Corley
Instructor: Percussion, Marching Technique
Rob has been has been with Superior Band Camps since 2004. He has an extensive marching and teaching background which includes seven years with the Music City Mystique indoor percussion ensemble, winning the WGI World Championship five of those seven years. Rob has also been involved with DCI, marching snare for the Blue Knights of Denver, CO, in 2001, and aging out as center snare for Carolina Crown in 2003. Rob has been an active high school educator in the middle Tennessee area since 1999, and in 2006 was the acting percussion caption head for the Memphis Sound Drum & Bugle Corps. Rob is currently attending Middle Tennessee State University for a degree in Business Finance.
Josh Dernosek
Instructor: Percussion
Josh has been with Superior for its entire existence, attending our very first camp as a participant, and then after gaining some terrific performance and instructional experience, coming back to join our instructional staff! He marched in the 1997 Tarheel Sun Drum & Bugle Corps Division II World Champion Drumline, and has since graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Communications. Josh has been an active instructor with several High School Marching programs in the Charlotte area since 2004. He currently lives in Waxhaw , NC with his wife.
Ray Eddy
Instructor: Percussion, Marching Technique, Leadership

After receiving his Bachelor's Degree from Duke University in 1992 (Mathematics and Economics), and his Master's Degree from Duke in 1994 (Education), Ray founded Superior Marching Band Enterprises, Inc., in 1996, and has been running the company ever since. He was Captain of the Duke Drumline while in college, and he now teaches percussion, leadership, marching technique, and visual programs at a long list of schools over the past 10 years. He is also currently a performer at Disney World in Orlando , FL.
Dustin Groves
Instructor: Percussion
Dustin has been teaching percussion for four years, including several with Superior Band Camps. He marched with Music City Mystique in 2004 and 2005, taking home a world championship. He has also taught various successful high schools in the middle Tennessee area. Dustin is currently a student at Middle Tennessee State University .
Taylor Kami
Instructor: Percussion
Taylor holds a B.M. in Percussion Performance from the University of North Texas , and is an active performer and educator in the Dallas - Fort Worth metroplex. Taylor marched in the 2004 Phantom Regiment Drumline and in the 13 time national champion University of North Texas Drumline . He recently joined the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps staff as a percussion Technician.
Kenny Kominic

Kenny is a recent graduate of the University of South Carolina , where he majored in music education. His performance experience includes 3 years as a member of the Carolina Crown, where he played snare drum from 2004 to 2006. He also spent 3 years playing snare drum in the USC marching band drumline. Kenny has been an percussion arranger and instructor for numerous high school percussion programs in Virginia and South Carolina, and last year was a snare tech for Verdigris Indepedent Indoor Ensemble, based in Irmo, SC. Currently, he is a snare tech for Palmetto Percussion, an independent-open class indoor percussion ensemble based in Columbia, SC.
Matt Mallery
Instructor: Percussion
Matt Mallery is an enthusiastic, active percussionist from Charlotte , North Carolina , who is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Music degree at Winthrop University while teaching and playing in various ensembles. Currently a member of Constitution, an independent world-class percussion ensemble from the Raleigh , NC, area, Matt is still highly engaged in the marching percussion scene. Matt began instructing in the Charlotte area in the summer of 2005. He now holds the position of Director of Percussion at his Alma Matter, and is teaching for the third year there.
Mike Rogers

Mike received his B.A. in Mathematics/Science and Technology from Virginia Tech in 2004. While at Tech, he was a member of the marching band on snare drum for 6 years, serving as section leader for 3 of those. He was also a member of WGI's Independent World Class Carolina Thunder Indoor Percussion Ensemble, also on snare drum. Mike has served as percussion instructor/arranger for several high school percussion programs around the Southwest Virginia and Central Florida areas, both indoor and outdoor, and is currently head battery technician with WGI's 1st Degree Drumline out of Orlando , Florida . He lives in Winter Springs , Florida .
Greg Shull
Instructor: Percussion
A seven-year veteran of the Superior Band Camp staff, Greg Shull is a co-founder and director of Constitution, an independent world-class percussion ensemble based out of Raleigh , North Carolina . Greg is also an alumus of independent world-class percussion ensemble Carolina Thunder, where he marched for four years until the ensemble was retired in 2001. He has over ten years of experience as a marching band educator, clinician, consultant, and adjudicator. He also has judged for the Carolina Indoor Performance Association, Atlantic Indoor Performance Association, and many other outdoor marching performance competitions. In 2006, Greg earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration and currently teaches at Southwest Middle School in Charlotte , North Carolina .
Ryan Wallace
Instructor: Percussion
Ryan marched tenor drums with Music City Mystique from 2001-04, in the Middle Tennessee State University Drumline from 2000-2003, as well as in the renowned Mt. Juliet HS marching band. He has taught drumlines in several very successful high school marching bands, including Mt. Juliet .
